I have this lying around for a long time now,always liked the songs on it but i didn't knew anything about the band or the release
Not too long ago i started digging the depths of the internet and what i've found amazed me!
The Gow was an Italian hard rock band from 1980 to 1992 they released one full album in 1984(Mr.Tippel) three demos and a couple of singles including the one i have,acording to metal-archives.com ''under the pseudonym Steel Grave, they recorded two songs for the soundtrack of Dario Argento's 1987 film 'Opera' (aka 'Terror at the Opera')
So i searched and searched and what you know!!technology is your friend they say so i send a friend request to Theo Roburgo the guitarist of the band,a great guy and a great guitarist, explaining my curiosity about the piece of their history i had in my hands.
The conclusion of our brief chat was that the record i had is an unofficial release by a Greek record company in 1985,it seems that we Greeks and Italians have a long history in bootleging...
Nevertheless i am determined to hunt down a mint copy of their official album and enjoy this great band,a bonus will be if this great guitarist is going to sign my copy
